Lead Student Pastor
Chris has been at Cassville Baptist for 15 years and has been in student ministry for over 20 years. Chris has a degree in Biblical Studies from Ames Christian University and a radiology degree from Georgia Northwestern Technical College. Chris directs the Fun in the Son event, volunteers on the tech team and updates the church website. His son, Hayden, is involved in student ministry and is the lighting engineer, stage designer and runs the live stream.
Chris is heavily involved in camping ministry and is on the board of directors for Camp Icthus. He has directed over 20 camps during this time and also began his own kids camp ROCKON. Along with being a student pastor he owns a T-shirt company and teaches radiology at a local college. His biggest passion is to open his home to foster care in the next few years.
Chris has a strong desire for students to learn how to share their faith, to serve in the local church and reach the community with missions. He enjoys video editing, acting, BBQ, travelling and eating giant cheeseburgers. Click here to reach Chris.
Children's Ministry Director
I’ve been married to Chris since 1994, and we have four children: Kinsley, who is 29 and her husband Delmar; Johnathon, who is 23, and his wife, Kenya; Christopher who is 19; and Jayden who is 13. I enjoy spending time with my family and crafting. We’ve been attending Cassville Baptist Church since the Fall of 2000. Shortly after, I had found my calling working with the children, where I have had the privilege to work and/or direct VBS and Awana for almost 15 years. I currently enjoy working as the Children’s Ministry Director, while watching the children learn and grow in their walk with the Lord. My heart is the happiest when I’m serving the families in our church and community with outreach events like Fun in the Son, Angel Tree, and Fall Festival.
I am a native Georgian and moved to Cartersville in 1993 with my husband, Tom. We have 2 children: Caroline, who is 24 and an event coordinator in Maryville, TN and Jonathan, who is 22 and will soon finish his degree in Cyber Security from Chattahoochee Tech. I taught 2nd and 5th grades for 14 years before joining the team at Cassville Baptist in 2016. I love travel, reading, paper crafting, and appreciating music, theatre, and art.
